Works

Musik ist eine Freundin des Wortes.

Hanna Maria Drack

WORKS
Hanna Maria Drack's extensive lifework includes

Lyrics
such as rhymes, free rhythms, epigrams, aphorisms, haikus, ballads, feuilletons, poems, poetry,

Prose
such as short stories, radio plays, children 's literature, stage works, novels, as well as
the setting to music of many of her poems by well-known composers.

Sometimes the artist herself wrote the melodies to her words and performed them as songs. The designation "songwriter" is thus also appropriate, although this was only a peripheral activity amid her creative output.

A considerable number of her early works were published in Germany, starting in her school days until her marriage, mostly under the name Johanna Börner. Thereafter, her works are mostly published in Austria under the name Hanna Maria Drack.

However, most of the works of Hanna Maria Drack have remained unpublished.

The subjects of her writings are nature, people, family, children, the small joys of life, humanism, respectful relations, honesty, understanding among peoples, world peace and many others.

As a representative of the classic style, Hanna Maria Drack understood it to represent "the true art of poetry".
